Meet Your Vice President
Bibi A. MartÃnez, born and raised in South Central Pennsylvania, joined Allegheny Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Allegheny) in 1996 as a temporary receptionist. Twenty-nine years later, she is the Manager of Human Resources, overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions for a workforce of over 60 employees, including payroll, compensation, onboarding, and regulatory compliance.
Bibi plays an integral role in shaping the employee experience and is widely respected by both senior leadership and staff for her knowledge, approachability, and dedication to organizational excellence. With a strong generalist background, she brings a comprehensive understanding of employment law, performance management, and workforce strategy.
She holds an MBA and a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. Certified as a SHRM-CP, Bibi has completed multiple HR training programs through SHRM and NRECA and recently obtained a SHRM AI+HI Specialty certification.
Outside of work, Bibi is a proud mother of two adult children, CristÃan and Micaela, and is deeply committed to advancing equity and representation, supporting the Latinx community.
Key Contributions to the Association
As Vice President of the National G&T HR Association Inc., she is responsible for:
- Coordinating the completion of the Annual Benefits Survey and publishing results to the Association.
- Serving as back up to the President, if and when needed.
