Meet Your Secretary

Bridgette Thomas is the current Human Resources Generalist for Ohio’s Electric Cooperatives (OEC), which includes the G&T plants of Buckeye Power and the Statewide Association. Bridgette has been at the cooperative since 2020.

In her current role, she manages a comprehensive range of HR functions, including maintaining HRIS data and employment records, overseeing the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, administering benefits, coordinating leave management, and ensuring payroll accuracy and timely processing. Additionally, she leads employee engagement initiatives, organizes training programs, and is the liaison between OEC and its member cooperatives.

Bridgette holds a bachelor’s degree focused in business/corporate strategic communications from The Ohio State University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2020.

Bridgette is recently married to husband, Jordan, and is enjoying newlywed life along with new homeowner life. She is a fur-mom to her ragdoll cat, Monty, who keeps things interesting. Outside of work, Bridgette enjoys exploring new restaurants around Columbus and cherishes spending quality time with her friends and family.

Key Contributions to the Association

As Secretary of the National G&T HR Association Inc., Bridgette is responsible for:

• Attending all meetings and accurately recording meeting minutes and proceedings.
• Approving new members and maintaining up-to-date, accurate membership records.
