Meet Your Board Member

Chad Orvis was born and raised just outside of Boulder Colorado. His first job out of college was with an HR consulting company as a generalist. After attending law school at the University of Denver, he began practicing as a labor and employment attorney for an employer’s association in Denver, Colorado. After practicing law for 17 years, he joined Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association as the Senior Manager of Employee relations where he managed both employee and labor relations for the company. Chad has since expanded his role to the Senior Manager of People and Culture where he also manages organizational development and trades and crafts training. Outside of work, he is married to his wonderful wife Cindy and has two boys Carson and Jake. It’s nonstop sports in the Orvis household whether it’s skiing, snowboarding, baseball, or football, there is always a game or activity to be involved in.

Key Contributions to the Association

As Past President of the National G&T HR Association Inc., he continues to play an active leadership role by:

• Providing guidance and strategic insight in his capacity as Past President.
• Actively participating in all Association meetings to support informed, collaborative decisions.
• Contributing to key committees to help drive the Association’s mission and initiatives forward.
