Stacy Bussard

Manager, Human Resources Services
Associated Electric Cooperation, Inc.
Springfield, Missouri

Meet Your Board Member

Stacy Bussard was born and raised in Missouri, primarily Springfield.  She started her career at Associated Electric at a young age while in high school as part of a cooperative program with the local school district.  Little did she know that summer job answering phones would lead to her professional career in Human Resources.  She pursued her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Psychology from Drury University and her Master’s in Human Resources Management from Webster University.  She then received her Professional Human Resources Certification.  Stacy has thoroughly enjoyed her twenty-four year career in the energy industry and with Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc (AECI), currently serving as Manager, Human Resources Services where she’s responsible for strategic staffing, performance management, employee relations, HR compliance and technology.  When she’s not working, she enjoys adventuring with her husband (Scott) and two boys, Colton and Bowen …and while she didn’t want a Labrador in the house, she’s head over heels for Stella Rose, the family’s champagne lab (who yes, is a house dog).

Key Contributions to the Association

As Past President of the National G&T HR Association Inc., she continues to play an active leadership role by:

    • Providing guidance and strategic insight in her capacity as Past President.
    • Actively participating in all Association meetings to support informed, collaborative decisions.
    • Contributing to key committees to help drive the Association’s mission and initiatives forward.

    Why She Serves

“It’s one thing to be a small part of the energy industry from your local G&T/Cooperative, but it’s a whole other ballgame to be a part of something as big as the National G&T HR Association,” said Stacy.  She most enjoys meeting other HR professionals from across the country, soliciting and incorporating new ideas for the membership, and sharing best practices with one another.  “It’s a great opportunity to volunteer as much or as little as you can to influence the HR profession and network with so many talented people focused on a common goal.”
